Advice for the elderly

As circumstances change in later life many of us need help and support with the handling and management of our affairs. We have a range of services to meet the needs of our elderly clients or those with elderly relatives - especially should illness or incapacity strike – and home visits can be arranged.

We work closely with family members, relatives and those who care for clients as well as professional advisers including accountants, brokers and financial advisers.

We can advise on and set up lasting powers of attorney to give someone you have chosen the authority to handle your affairs should you become unable to do so yourself.

We provide support and advice on welfare and care needs and dealings with your home. We can advise on the grants available for special needs and other benefits such as Attendance Allowance.

We can advise you on the best ways to protect your home should you need residential care. We can also advise you on the family home - whether you choose to give the house to your children or other relatives while you are still living there or where you would like to sell the house and to move into alternative accommodation.
